Bendigo & central Victoria
Bendigo tap water, filtered properly — installed in one visit.
Fixed-price under-sink filtration for Bendigo homes. A licensed technician taps into your cold line, fits the system and the tap, tests the water, and cleans up. Usually 60–90 minutes.

Why people here filter
The water is safe to drink. It just doesn't always taste like it.
Bendigo's supply is treated to Australian Drinking Water Guidelines by Coliban Water, so this isn't about safety — it's about taste, smell and what your kettle looks like after six months.
The two things we hear most in Bendigo kitchens: a chlorine or "pool" smell when the tap first runs, and scale building up in kettles, shower screens and coffee machines. Filtration fixes the first. Nothing fitted under a sink fixes the second — see below.
Curious what's actually in your supply? Coliban Water publishes water-quality reports for each town. We'll walk you through yours on the phone if you'd like.
What a carbon system genuinely does
- Cuts chlorine taste and odour
- Traps sediment, rust and silt
- Improves the taste of tea, coffee and ice
- Reduces some organic compounds and particulates
What it doesn't do — worth knowing before you buy
- It does not soften water or stop kettle scale (that needs a whole-house softener)
- It does not treat a health condition, and we won't tell you it does
- It only filters the one tap it's plumbed to, not the whole house
If scale is your main problem, say so on the call — we'll tell you straight if an under-sink filter isn't the fix.

How the water moves through it
Sediment
Catches dirt, rust and silt so the finer stages don't clog early.
Carbon block
Where the chlorine taste and odour goes. The workhorse of the system.
Carbon polish
Final pass for clear, neutral-tasting water at the tap.
Remineralise (4-stage only)
Adds minerals back and lifts pH so the water tastes rounder, not flat.
Running costs
What it costs after the install day.
Most quotes leave this bit out. Here it is up front, so you can compare us properly against a bottled water habit or a filter jug.
- Cartridges: $120 for a full 3-stage set, $150 for the 4-stage set, fitted.
- How often: every 6–12 months depending on how much water your household runs.
- Reminders: we text you when yours is due, based on your install date and usage.
- Change them yourself: the housings are twist-off. We show you how on install day and it costs you nothing but the cartridges.
- No subscription, no lock-in contract. You're never signed up to anything.
What it actually costs you
Assuming one cartridge change a year — most households land between six and twelve months.
| 3-stage: year one (system + one change) | $369 |
|---|---|
| 3-stage: every year after | $120 |
| 4-stage: year one (system + one change) | $479 |
| 4-stage: every year after | $150 |
| Bottled water at $9 a week | $468 / yr |
A household spending $9 a week on bottled water is already paying more each year than a 3-stage system costs to buy and run for its first twelve months — and about $350 a year more after that. Figures based on one cartridge change annually; your usage may differ.
How it works
Four steps, one visit, no surprises on the invoice.
You call or send the form
We ask about your sink, your cabinet and what bothers you about the water. Two minutes on the phone.
You get a fixed price
Quoted before we book, in writing. If your cabinet turns out to be a problem, we tell you then — not on the day.
We install, usually that week
A licensed tech taps the cold line, mounts the unit, fits the tap, tests the water and takes the packaging with them.
We remind you about filters
A text when cartridges are due, and a warranty line that a real person answers.

Customer reviews
What Bendigo homeowners say after the install.
The tech was in and out in under an hour and walked me through changing the filters myself next time. Water tastes completely different.
Called on a Tuesday, installed by Friday. No pushy upsell — they recommended the 3-stage since that's all we needed.
Our cabinet is oddly shaped and I was sure it wouldn't fit. They made it work and it looks tidier than the old setup.

Check my townCommon questions
The things people ask before they book.
What's the total price — are there extras?
$249 for the 3-stage and $329 for the 4-stage, and that's the lot: system, designer tap, installation, cold-line tap-in and water testing. No call-out fee. The only time the price moves is if your cabinet needs unusual work, and we tell you that before booking, not on the day.
Do I need to organise a plumber as well?
No. Our technicians do the full install, including the cold-water tap-in and the faucet connection. Nothing else to arrange and nobody else to pay.
Is the difference between 3-stage and 4-stage worth $80?
Both remove sediment and chlorine taste and odour — that's the bulk of the improvement, and most people are happy with the 3-stage. The fourth stage adds minerals back and lifts the pH, which people describe as rounder and less flat. If you drink a lot of plain tap water, it's usually worth it. If you mostly make tea and coffee, the 3-stage is plenty. We'll say so on the phone rather than push you up.
How much do replacement cartridges cost?
$120 for a full set of three cartridges on the 3-stage system, and $150 for the four-cartridge set on the 4-stage — both fitted, nothing extra to pay for the visit. A set lasts 6–12 months depending on your household's water use, so you're looking at roughly $10–13 a month to run. You can also change them yourself: the housings twist off and we show you how on install day.
Will it fit under my sink?
Almost always. The canisters are compact and stackable and designed for standard Australian cabinets. If space is unusually tight, or you've got a waste disposal unit or a deep double bowl, we'll flag it during the free consult before you commit to anything.
Does it need a hole drilled in my benchtop?
Usually yes — the filtered water runs to its own dedicated tap, so we need a hole for it. Many kitchens already have a spare one under a blanking plug. Stone, granite and engineered stone benchtops need special handling, so mention your benchtop material when you call.
Will it stop the scale in my kettle?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Carbon filtration improves taste and odour but doesn't remove the dissolved minerals that cause scale. That needs a whole-house softener, which is a different job at a different price. We'd rather tell you now than have you disappointed.
How long does the install take, and do I need to be home?
60–90 minutes start to finish, including a water test at the kitchen tap before we leave. Someone over 18 needs to be home to let us in and sign off, but you don't need to hover — most people work through it.
How do I pay?
On the day, once the install is done and we've tested the water — card, bank transfer or cash, whichever suits you. There's no deposit to book and nothing to pay upfront.
What if something goes wrong afterwards?
We warrant our workmanship and parts for 6 months. Call the same number you booked on and you'll get a person, not a queue — leaks and drips are treated as priority jobs. Separately, our systems come with guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, including the right to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure. Those rights are not limited by our 6-month warranty.
